United Church Homes and Services owns and operates three continuing care retirement communities. Abernethy Laurels opened in 1971, in Newton, NC, Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville was opened in 1986 and Lake Prince Woods in Suffolk, VA was opened in 2002.
