Exercise does the body good!

Staying active is a great tool for healthy lifestyles. Everyone knows that staying active and movement is a key component for stress relief. Many will agree that exercise does the body good and is a positive reinforcement for one’s health and wellness. In 2015, the Mayo Clinic stated “Regular exercise can increase self-confidence, it can relax you, and it can lower the symptoms associated with mild depression and anxiety. Exercise can also improve your sleep, which is often disrupted by stress, depression and anxiety.”  These aspects highlight major health components that can add years to anyone’s life if taken care of appropriately.

Many residents at Lake Prince Woods are aware of those benefits, which is the primary reason they stay involved. Denise Brown, our Director of Resident Services, believes it is essential to provide multiple exercise options in the course of a day or even a week. We provide a magnitude of exercise and other options for staying active. The residents would agree that this type of interaction helps with socialization and building lasting relationships.
