Isaiah 33:6 And He will be the security and stability of your times,
A treasure of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is your treasure.
Many times, we might find ourselves in distress. We are worried about the times in which we live. We fear what we do not know. Someone once said “I know God has a plan and I pray for direction to follow it. Patience to wait on it and knowledge to know when it comes.” This quote is the treasure of true wisdom and knowledge, how to live our lives. The wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. Those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
God is the bedrock and refuge for his people: “the stability of your times.” We are not secure in ourselves. Interacting with others comes first with interacting with God. It teaches a lot, including respect for who God is, what he can do, and a healthy fear of what our lives would be like without him.
