April 16, 2015

Magical Strings, the husband and wife duo of Pam and Philip Boulding, will perform at Lake Prince Woods retirement community on Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m.The concert is free and open to the public.

Performing predominantly on the Celtic harp and hammered dulcimer, the couple have been touring internationally for 36 years and have recorded 20 albums.

Philip and Pam will be playing music inspired by their journey to Ireland last September, where they spent time on the Burren exploring ancient mystical sites and traced the footsteps of the 17th Century Irish harper Turlough O'Carolan.

Since 1978 Philip and Pam Boulding have drawn a loyal following worldwide, captivated by their energetic arrangements of Celtic music and their own engaging compositions, intertwining Celtic roots with classical and world music influences. They have performed throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland and Japan, toured and recorded with Dan Fogelberg, appeared on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion," and recorded 20 albums on four labels.
