Chili Cook-Off to Benefit Alzheimer's Walk
August 18, 2015
Representatives from Harper's Table, Baron's Pub, and Constant's Wharf Grill will face off against firefighters from Suffolk Station 6 and staff at Lake Prince Woods retirement community. Tickets for the Chili Cook-Off are $5.00 and may be purchased in advance or at the door.
The event also serves as the official kick-off for the Western Tidewater Walk which is Saturday, Sept. 19 beginning at the Hilton Garden Inn and following a route through downtown Suffolk. At the kick-off on Sept. 4, teams may come and register for the walk or existing teams can turn in money raised thus far. Raffle tickets for a 2015 Toyota Camry can also be purchased at the kick-off.
"So far we have 26 teams with a total of 103 walkers registered for the event," noted Walk Co-Chair Denise Brown. "We're hoping to have more teams come in to register at the kick-off."
Lake Prince Woods is pleased to have a team of residents participating in the Walk this year.
