Intern Gains Hands-on Experience

In his pursuit to gain hands-on marketing skills and real world experience in the healthcare field, Dan Page, a senior, majoring in Healthcare Management at Appalachian State University, in Boone, North Carolina, has been working as an administrative intern for the last eight weeks at Lake Prince Woods, a senior living community in Suffolk, VA.  Some of the projects that Dan has been involved in at Lake Prince Woods comprised of writing educational blogs, contributing to the summer newsletter, interviews with residents, and participating in numerous activities with the residents and staff.

 “I have thoroughly enjoyed this administrative internship and have gained valuable experience working alongside with the residents and staff, which will enable me to pursue further challenging roles and positions in the healthcare marketing field prior to graduation,” shared Page.
