Lake Prince Woods Offered Dementia Training Program to Team Members

SUFFOLK, VA- Lake Prince Woods Senior Community recently offered CARES® training to team members at the community. CARES is a specialized dementia training developed alongside the Alzheimer’s Association with a national team of experts.

The CARES training includes evidence-based approaches from the Alzheimer's Association Dementia Care practice recommendations that have been supported by more than 30 leading health and senior care organizations. This training gives caregivers’ essential training when caring for people who have been diagnosed with dementia and may require special care.

“The training was insightful! I am glad I was given the opportunity to take the course. It creates an awareness that most people may not realize,” said Maxine Turner-Tynes, Registered Medication Aide at Lake Prince Woods, who recently attended the CARES training.
