SUFFOLK, VA- Lake Prince Woods, a senior living community, located in the heart of Suffolk is a great supporter of education. They have taken the torch as a leader in the community to create an extensive training program for upcoming Healthcare Administrators.

Administrator In Training (AIT) is a state approved training that allows current administrators in the field to mentor others. The AIT engages the entire spectrum of the healthcare industry and are given projects throughout the program.

“We believe in giving back to the field one student at a time. We want to teach them how to be good stewards while making a difference in someone’s life,” said Judy Raymond, Executive Director of Lake Prince Woods.

Tawanda Hall is a licensed practical nurse and is currently participating in the AIT program. She has worked in healthcare for over 12 years and has a true passion for people. Her goal is to become an assisted living administrator and a preceptor for future administrators.

“I am so glad I was offered the opportunity to be here. I have learned so much in this short period of time. Lake Prince Woods has given me the tools to succeed in this industry,” said Tawanda Hall, AIT.

Lake Prince Woods takes pride in becoming the best supporter of the future generation of assisted living and nursing home administrators. “Once the AITs have completed their time with us, they leave with a sense of confidence and faith to move forward in their new roles,” said Kimberly Searcy, Associate Executive Director.
