Lake Prince Woods Senior Community
January 31, 2018
SUFFOLK, VIRGINIA – Lake Prince Woods senior community partners with the Alzheimer’s Association to offer a monthly Alzheimer’s support group the third Monday of every month at 3:00 p.m. that is free to the public. This group offers the emotional, educational, and social support you need to get you through tough times with your loved ones. It is very beneficial for family members and caregivers involved with caring for a person with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia to attend Support Group meetings. Attending meetings can help you to feel less alone and learn that others share in your feelings, frustrations, and concerns.
This support group is led by Denise Brown, Director of Resident Services and Precious Tillman, Assisted Living Director for Lake Prince Woods. It is encouraged that family members who are growing frustrated trying to work around behaviors they don’t know how to manage are encouraged to attend the meeting. It is not necessary to have a family member living at Lake Prince Woods in order to attend the meeting; anyone dealing with Alzheimer’s is invited to attend. For more information please contact Denise Brown at 757-923-5513 or at [email protected]
