We Still Do…and Always Will
March 20, 2020
This year as part of the Valentine’s Day festivities Lake Prince Woods offered a vow renewal ceremony for residents in the Residential Living apartments and cottages. With the beautifully decorated floral arch by Resident Services Director Florence Hobbs and skillful table layout the area became a romantic set. There were 11 couples in attendance who all participated in the ceremony led by Chaplain Gary Newsome & then a catered surf and turf meal thanks to the Lake Prince Woods Dining Staff.
The Portsmouth Center was transformed into a romantic venue with special lighting, floral centerpieces, red wine, a red carpet, and even an acoustic guitarist to serenade the couples as they enjoyed their meals and socialized. Lake Prince Woods resident John Newenstyn was able to capture beautiful pictures of the ceremony.
From the moment residents entered the room they were able to get that night out feel without having to leave the beautiful campus of Lake Prince Woods. Chaplain Gary Newsome performed the ceremony as the couples circled around standing on the red carpet and he spoke from under the delicately decorated white arch. Thank you emails and letters poured in from those in attendance praising how well the ceremony went and giving kind words to all those involved in making it a night none of them would soon forget.
